Appliance repair franchise Pacifica Local has expanded its UK network with the launch of two new franchise territories in Sutton and Cardiff, bringing three new franchise partners into the business.
Brothers Muhammad Unain and Muhammad Raheel have joined forces to launch the Sutton territory, bringing engineering and technical experience to their new franchise. In Cardiff, Rhys Pring has begun trading after several weeks of preparation, drawing on his technical and customer service background as he builds the business across Cardiff, Caerphilly and surrounding areas.
For Unain, who previously worked as a field service engineer, the franchise provides an opportunity to apply his existing technical skills while building a business with greater independence. “I already had experience, so I could bring those skills with me from day one. The difference was having the chance to put them into something of our own and have much more control over where we take it,” he said.
Unain added that Pacifica Local’s training had built on his existing knowledge and provided an introduction to the brand’s appliance repair operation. “Our attention now is on getting established in Sutton, winning customers and becoming known locally,” he said.
Raheel, who has an electrical engineering background, said the ability to make independent business decisions was a key attraction of the franchise model. The brothers also intend to explore commercial opportunities as their Sutton operation develops, including potential relationships with property management companies.
“We can set our ambitions for Sutton and work towards them, while having Pacifica Local’s appliance repair experience to draw on along the way,” Raheel said.
Meanwhile, Pring is already operating his Cardiff territory and is focused on building local recognition before expanding the operation. “I know Cardiff, Caerphilly and this part of South Wales really well, so I want Pacifica Local to become a name people here trust. Longer term, the ambition is to grow and put additional vans on the road,” he said.
Pring said the combination of business ownership and support from an established appliance repair network influenced his decision to join Pacifica Local.
“Being in charge of my own schedule and having responsibility for the whole area was a big attraction. There’s a real sense of ownership because the reputation you create and the relationships you develop are yours,” he said.
The new territories come approximately one year after Pacifica Local launched its franchise opportunity. The model is designed for technically minded and commercially ambitious individuals looking to establish appliance repair businesses within defined local territories, combining franchisee ownership with training and ongoing support from the wider network.
