Paris Baguette Deepens UK Expansion with Seventh London Bakery Café

Date:

Global bakery café brand Paris Baguette has strengthened its presence in the United Kingdom with the opening of its seventh UK store, marking another milestone in the company’s long-term European expansion strategy. The newest bakery café has opened in Richmond, southwest London, as parent company SPC Group continues to invest in one of Europe’s most competitive bakery and foodservice markets.

Situated on George Street, adjacent to Richmond Station and the River Thames, the new café offers 95 seats in one of London’s most affluent commercial districts. Known for its premium retail environment and high purchasing power, Richmond is expected to help the brand attract both local residents and international visitors while strengthening its visibility in the capital.

The new outlet features Paris Baguette’s signature contemporary design, including its distinctive blue façade and marble counters, alongside a menu of freshly baked artisan breads, viennoiserie, pastries, cakes, croissant sandwiches, desserts and specialty beverages. The bakery café concept blends French-inspired baking traditions with Korean craftsmanship, a formula that has helped the brand expand rapidly across international markets.

The Richmond launch comes just months after the opening of the brand’s 126-seat Southbank café, underscoring Paris Baguette’s strategy of establishing stores in high-profile commercial and cultural districts across London. Since entering the UK in 2022, the company has steadily expanded its footprint with locations including Battersea Power Station, High Street Kensington, Canary Wharf, Westfield London, Southbank and now Richmond.

Franchising has become a key driver of the company’s UK growth. After launching its first franchised British outlet at Canary Wharf in 2024, Paris Baguette has expanded to five franchised stores in the country, reflecting its confidence in the UK’s mature franchise ecosystem and its role as a gateway to wider European expansion.

“We are continuously opening stores in key UK commercial districts to strengthen our brand competitiveness,” a Paris Baguette company official said. “We will solidify the status of K-bakery in the European market.”

The UK forms part of Paris Baguette’s broader international growth strategy as the company accelerates expansion across Europe, North America and Asia. London has been positioned as the launchpad for further European development, with the brand targeting additional openings through both company-owned and franchised bakery cafés.

Presently, Paris Baguette operates more than 4,000 bakery cafés worldwide across multiple international markets, making it one of the largest bakery café franchise brands globally. The company has also recorded strong franchise momentum in North America, awarding nearly 300 new franchise locations and opening 77 cafés during 2025, reinforcing its status as one of the fastest-growing bakery franchise systems.
