Mobio Acquires Six You Move Me Franchise Territories to Expand Corporate Network

Date:

Mobio Technologies Inc., the parent company of residential moving franchise You Move Me, has signed a definitive Asset Purchase Agreement to acquire the franchise rights and operating assets of Easy Moves Holdco LLC and related entities for US$5 million, bringing six established U.S. franchise markets under direct corporate ownership.

The acquisition covers the Kansas City, Minneapolis–St. Paul, Denver, Salt Lake City, Indianapolis and St. Louis markets, all of which will transition from franchised operations to company-owned locations upon closing. The agreement was announced on July 27 and remains subject to approval by the TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) and customary closing conditions.

Under the terms of the agreement, Mobio will pay US$1 million at closing, followed by another US$1 million on September 30, 2026. The remaining US$3 million will be paid over five years through 20 equal quarterly installments, carrying 5% annual simple interest.

The company said it expects to finance the acquisition through operating cash flow and CAD$2 million in unsecured loans. The financing package includes CAD$1.5 million from a director of the company and CAD$500,000 from a corporation controlled by President and CEO Laurie Baggio. Both loans carry an annual interest rate of 12% and mature on June 30, 2028.

Commenting on the acquisition, Laurie Baggio, President and CEO of Mobio Technologies, said: “These franchise locations have a long operating history within the network. Bringing them under direct corporate ownership is intended to support disciplined growth, operational consistency, and continued investment in the brand. Integration of the franchise locations into our corporate portfolio marks a significant milestone in our mission to scale the You Move Me system across North America.”

The six markets are among the more established territories within the You Move Me network and will now operate as corporate locations, giving the franchisor greater control over operations, brand execution and future growth initiatives. Company-owned markets are commonly used by franchisors as operational benchmarks, innovation hubs and training centres for franchisees.

The definitive agreement replaces an earlier non-binding Letter of Intent announced in May 2026, which was terminated by mutual agreement on July 7 before a final deal was executed. The new agreement formalizes the acquisition under revised definitive terms.

Founded in Canada, You Move Me is a residential moving franchise operating across North America. The brand is owned by Mobio Technologies Inc., which develops and acquires home-service businesses through franchising and corporate operations.

If approved by the TSX Venture Exchange, the transaction is expected to close three business days after all regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions have been satisfied.
