Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, the rapidly expanding U.S. restaurant chain known for its focused chicken-finger menu, is bringing its ONE LOVE concept to the UK, with its first British and European restaurant scheduled to open in early 2027 in London’s Piccadilly Circus.
Founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1996 by Todd Graves and Craig Silvey, Raising Cane’s has built its brand around a deliberately simple menu centred on chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw, Texas toast and its signature Cane’s Sauce. The company has grown into one of the fastest-growing restaurant brands in the U.S. and is now using London as the launchpad for its next phase of international expansion.
The first UK flagship will occupy 21–22 Coventry Street, the former Angus Steakhouse site between Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square. Raising Cane’s has confirmed that the location will serve as its first European restaurant and the starting point for a wider UK growth programme.
The company said its London debut is more than a single restaurant opening, describing it as the beginning of its next chapter of global growth. Following Piccadilly Circus, Raising Cane’s plans additional restaurants in The Strand, Oxford Circus and Paddington, alongside drive-thru locations across Greater London.
The expansion is also expected to generate significant employment. Raising Cane’s expects to create more than 700 jobs in its first year in the UK, covering restaurant and support-office roles as it establishes its local operation.
The company has already moved beyond site planning and into active UK recruitment. Raising Cane’s UK careers platform currently lists positions across London and Kingston upon Thames, including restaurant leadership, operations and growth roles. Vacancies are listed for the Coventry Street flagship as well as other London locations, providing further evidence that the company’s UK rollout is progressing beyond its first site.
The current UK pipeline includes roles connected with 21–22 Coventry Street, 55 The Strand, 110–113 Tottenham Court Road and 84 Eden Street in Kingston upon Thames. The recruitment activity indicates that Raising Cane’s is preparing multiple sites rather than treating London as a one-off international flagship.
Raising Cane’s arrival comes as London’s chicken category continues to attract major international brands. The company has already established restaurants in markets outside the U.S., including Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and the London opening will extend that international footprint into Europe.
The brand’s expansion has been closely tied to its tightly defined menu and operating model. Unlike many broad-menu quick-service chains, Raising Cane’s focuses almost entirely on chicken-finger meals, supported by its signature sauce and a small number of sides and beverages. Its core proposition includes chicken fingers, Cane’s Sauce, crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw and Texas toast.
London has been a particularly important target for the company. Raising Cane’s has previously said it received strong demand for a UK presence, while the company has spent several years assessing locations and preparing for its European entry.
The UK expansion is now becoming tangible. Raising Cane’s Restaurants UK Holdings Limited was incorporated in January 2025, and the company’s registered office is now based in Paddington, London.
With the Piccadilly Circus flagship planned for early 2027, additional central-London restaurants already in the pipeline and drive-thru expansion planned across Greater London, Raising Cane’s is positioning Britain as a significant new market rather than simply its next overseas opening.
For London’s increasingly competitive fast-food market, the arrival will bring one of America’s fastest-growing chicken concepts into direct competition for consumers seeking the increasingly popular U.S.-style chicken experience.
