Marshall Motor Group has added Chinese automotive manufacturer Changan to its franchise portfolio through a new partnership that will initially see the dealer group represent the brand from a dealership in Braintree, Essex.
The partnership will give customers access to Changan’s growing range of electric and electrified vehicles, supported by sales and aftersales services. The dealership will operate as cinch Changan Braintree at Galleys Corner, Braintree Road, with the opening date yet to be confirmed.

For Changan, the agreement adds another established UK dealer group to its expanding franchise network. The manufacturer officially entered the UK vehicle market in September 2025 with the all-electric DEEPAL S07 SUV and is now building its presence across the electric and hybrid vehicle segments.

Changan said its UK range available through the partnership will include the DEEPAL S07 EV, S05 EV and S05 Ultra plug-in hybrid. Marshall will also provide servicing, maintenance and warranty support through its aftersales operation.
Changan has more than four decades of automotive manufacturing experience and reports annual vehicle sales of more than 2.9 million units. It also has an established engineering and R&D operation in Birmingham, giving the manufacturer an existing technical presence in the UK ahead of its retail expansion.
Marshall operates more than 130 stores across the UK and represents multiple automotive manufacturers. The Changan agreement adds another Chinese automotive brand to its portfolio as the group continues to expand its representation across the electric and electrified vehicle market.
The Braintree partnership also comes as Changan continues to build its UK dealer network. Industry reports said the manufacturer had expanded to more than 60 dealerships since its 2025 UK launch, with other dealer partners including Lithia, John Clark Motor Group, Allen Motor Group, WLMG and Donalds Group.
