Singapore-born luxury tea brand TWG Tea has opened its largest flagship boutique worldwide at Changi Airport Terminal 3, combining a tea shop, gifting and takeaway counters, exclusive products and the company’s first tea museum in a 2,700-square-foot space.
Called the TWG Tea Gallery, the 24-hour outlet is in Terminal 3’s Departure/Transit Lounge North. Its design features a 23-foot-high ceiling hand-painted with a map tracing tea’s journey around the world, and a wall displaying more than 1,200 tea tins.
The museum presents more than 170 antique tea wares and decorative objects, alongside more than 50 antique Russian samovars dating from the 17th to 20th centuries. TWG Tea says it assembled the collection over 15 years.
The Gallery also offers a Tea Boutique, curated accessories, bespoke gifting and a takeaway counter. Opening exclusives include Grand Voyage Tea from the brand’s Grand Mode Tea Collection, a Singapore Surprise Gift Set, and tea-infused ice cream and sorbet created for Changi Terminal 3.
TWG Tea lists more than 70 locations worldwide on its official website, across markets including Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, France, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. The Changi announcement does not identify the Gallery as a franchise, so its ownership arrangement remains undisclosed.
“The TWG Tea Gallery represents the most definitive expression of TWG Tea to date. More than a Tea Boutique, the flagship brings the past, present and future of tea into one immersive experience,” said Taha Bouqdib, President and CEO of V3 Gourmet and Co-Founder of TWG Tea.
“Changi Airport is proud to be home to TWG Tea’s largest flagship store in the world and its first-ever TWG Tea Museum. Together with TWG Tea, we are delighted to introduce a collection of exclusives created specially for Changi Airport,” said Jean Hung, Managing Director of airside concessions at Changi Airport Group.
The opening adds a new destination to Changi’s travel-retail offering and reflects TWG Tea’s focus on expanding its presence in travel locations. The company describes the Gallery as its largest global flagship boutique; the announcement does not provide details on a franchise arrangement for this outlet.
