Target and Levi’s Strengthen Long‑Term Partnership with Major Store Expansion

Date:

Target Corp. and Levi Strauss & Co. announced a major expansion of their longstanding partnership, bringing Levi’s denim and lifestyle assortment to more than 1,000 Target stores nationwide by the end of 2026 as part of Target’s broader merchandising strategy.

The move will add Levi’s merchandise to about 150 additional Target locations, reinforcing the partnership that dates back decades and has been a fixture in Target’s apparel offerings since it was reintroduced in 2011.

Strategic Retail Expansion

Target will continue to broaden its Levi’s assortment, including a nearly 20 percent year‑over‑year increase in the women’s denim lineup for spring 2026. The expanded collection features best‑selling classic fits alongside trend‑forward silhouettes, washes and lifestyle pieces such as tops and overalls, with most styles priced under $60 to deliver value alongside quality.

Gena Fox, Senior Vice President of Apparel and Accessories at Target, emphasized the importance of the collaboration: “Guests turn to Target to find the styles, brands, and value they love, which is why our partnership with Levi’s is so important. Through our partnership, we’re growing Target’s denim business by delivering exactly what our guests want: on‑trend style, exceptional quality, and unmatched value.”

From the Levi’s side, Heidi Manes, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Levi’s U.S. and Canada, highlighted the brand’s global appeal and its evolution within the partnership: “Levi’s is the #1 denim brand in the world and our evolution into a head‑to‑toe denim lifestyle brand is resonating with Target guests. Our expansion with Target reflects the momentum behind our lifestyle assortment, the strength of our partnership and our commitment to reaching Levi’s fans wherever they choose to shop.”

Broader Franchise and Retail Context

In addition to its expanded presence at Target, Levi’s continues to grow its direct‑to‑consumer and franchise footprint globally. The brand has been actively opening and renovating stores in key international markets, notably in India, where revamped and flagship locations in cities such as Mumbai and New Delhi aim to elevate the retail experience with expanded assortments and personalized services.

These international retail initiatives align with Levi’s overarching strategy to deepen its global reach and strengthen connections with consumers through a mix of owned stores, premium experiences and strategic retail partnerships.
