Red Lobster, the globally recognized seafood casual-dining chain, has announced the appointment of Brad Hill, former CEO of P.F. Chang’s, as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Vice President of Transformation. Hill will lead the company’s finance organization, strategic planning, forecasting, reporting, and real estate strategy, including franchise development and property acquisitions, as the brand pursues expansion both domestically and internationally.
Hill’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for Red Lobster, which continues to recover and grow following its Chapter 11 restructuring in 2024. The bankruptcy reorganization, led by RL Investor Holdings LLC, allowed the chain to reduce debt and streamline operations, positioning it for renewed focus on customer experience and global growth. Hill’s extensive experience in restaurant operations and finance gained through his leadership roles at P.F. Chang’s, is expected to strengthen the chain’s financial and operational strategy as it navigates a competitive casual-dining landscape.
In tandem with Hill’s appointment, Red Lobster has named Kristen Briede as Chief Global Development Officer. Briede will oversee the chain’s global expansion strategy, including franchising, travel and airport formats, and strategic partnerships. Her role is central to Red Lobster’s ambition to increase its international footprint and explore innovative growth opportunities in new markets.
Both executives will report to CEO Damola Adamolekun, who has led Red Lobster since late 2024. Adamolekun, formerly CEO of P.F. Chang’s, has been guiding the chain through menu refreshes, enhanced guest experiences, and operational improvements. Under his leadership, the brand has reintroduced customer favourites such as popcorn shrimp and hush puppies, while testing new concepts like seafood boils that have resonated on social media.
“Brad and Kristen bring a rare combination of financial expertise and operational insight that will be instrumental as we strengthen Red Lobster’s global presence,” said Adamolekun. “Their leadership will help us accelerate growth, optimize our franchise operations, and ensure the brand continues to deliver exceptional experiences to our guests.”
The executive appointments also highlight Red Lobster’s focus on franchising as a key lever for growth. By expanding its franchise network, the chain aims to tap into new markets, diversify revenue streams, and attract investors looking for proven, scalable restaurant models.
Red Lobster presently operates over 700 locations across the United States, with a growing presence in select international markets. With Hill and Briede joining the leadership team, the brand is poised to enhance its operational efficiency, strengthen franchise relationships, and explore innovative formats that align with evolving consumer preferences.
