Purpose Brands Appoints Patricia Perry to Drive U.S. Franchise Expansion

Date:

Purpose Brands is accelerating its domestic franchise expansion strategy following the appointment of Patricia Perry as Chief Development Officer, as the global wellness platform sharpens its focus on scaling across the United States.

Perry will oversee franchise development across the company’s portfolio of fitness, health, and wellness brands, with a mandate to increase unit growth, expand into new markets, and strengthen franchisee engagement. Her appointment comes at a time when the company is aligning leadership to drive faster development across its multi-brand platform.

Formed in 2024 through the merger of Orangetheory Fitness and Self Esteem Brands, Purpose Brands has emerged as one of the largest wellness franchising platforms globally. The company operates more than 7,000 locations across over 50 countries, serving approximately 6 million members worldwide and generating an estimated $3.7–$3.8 billion in systemwide revenue.

Its portfolio spans a wide range of concepts across fitness, nutrition, and wellness. This includes Anytime Fitness, the world’s largest fitness franchise with more than 5,600 clubs and nearly 5 million members, and Orangetheory Fitness, which has over 1,500 studios globally. The platform also includes Waxing the City, Basecamp Fitness (including SUMHIIT), The Bar Method, Stronger U Nutrition, Healthy Contributions, and Provision Security, giving the company exposure to multiple high-growth segments within the wellness economy.

With a diversified portfolio and a franchise-first model, Purpose Brands is leveraging shared infrastructure and centralized systems to drive efficiencies across brands while accelerating development. The company is now intensifying its U.S. expansion efforts by increasing franchise sales, entering untapped territories, and pushing new unit openings across its concepts.

While specific domestic targets have not been disclosed, the scale of its network and the addition of Perry to lead development signal a more aggressive push to capture growth opportunities in the U.S. wellness and fitness franchising market.
