Sky Zone, one of the world’s leading indoor active entertainment franchise brands and a pioneer of the trampoline park concept, is seeing strong momentum from its franchise network as multi-unit operators accelerate expansion across key U.S. markets.
A leading franchisee, entrepreneur Usman Rao, is driving that growth with an aggressive multi-unit strategy, rapidly building out his portfolio as demand for experiential, family-focused entertainment continues to rise. Rao currently operates multiple locations across three states, with his footprint having scaled from an initial single-unit investment into a multi-park platform.
More recently, his portfolio has continued to expand through both acquisitions and new builds. At one stage, Rao operated seven parks across key markets, with additional sites added through acquisitions in Arizona and California.
The growth trajectory is now accelerating further. Rao is preparing to open eight to 10 additional locations over the next 12 to 18 months, reinforcing his position as one of the brand’s most active multi-unit operators.
Parallel to this pipeline, company disclosures indicate that he is also adding to his existing base, including projects that will take his portfolio to at least 11 parks, with new openings slated across key U.S. markets.
“Owning a Sky Zone has completely redefined my daily life,” Rao said. “That leap of faith was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.”
The expansion aligns with Sky Zone’s broader franchise momentum. The brand added nine franchise locations in 2024 and is targeting roughly 20 additional parks, taking its system toward 250 locations, with longer-term ambitions of reaching 300 units.
Rao attributes the brand’s appeal to both consumer demand and unit-level economics. “Sky Zone creates value for everyone. Kids love the variety of attractions, Parents appreciate the fitness focus,” he said.
With diversified revenue streams spanning memberships, birthday parties and group events, operators are increasingly doubling down on multi-unit expansion to scale their footprint.
As franchisees like Rao expand aggressively, Sky Zone continues to reinforce its position as a high-growth experiential franchise, powered by strong unit economics and sustained consumer demand for out-of-home entertainment.
