Brian Bailey Scales to the Top as Domino’s Biggest U.S. Franchise Owner

Date:

Brian Bailey, one of the most prominent franchise operators in the Domino’s Pizza system, has emerged as the largest franchisee of the brand in the United States, scaling a single-store beginning into a 160-unit, multi-state operation.

According to a press release from Domino’s, Bailey secured the title of the brand’s largest U.S. franchise owner after acquiring 45 stores across Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma, accelerating the growth of his entity, Team Bailey.

Bailey’s journey began in 1985 in Alamogordo, New Mexico, where he joined Domino’s as a delivery driver while searching for what he described as a “real job.” Reflecting on that start, Bailey said: “Like many Domino’s franchisees, when I started as a young man, I honestly thought it was just a temporary job while I figured out my real career.”

Within just 58 days, he was promoted to store manager, laying the foundation for a career that would redefine franchise scale within the system.

He went on to purchase his first store in 1988 and steadily expanded his footprint, reaching 12 locations by the late 1990s and becoming debt-free before choosing to accelerate growth.

“We had three choices, sell, coast or go big, we decided to go big,” Bailey said.

Today, Team Bailey operates 160 Domino’s stores across Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas, employing more than 3,000 people and positioning itself as one of the most influential franchise platforms within the Domino’s ecosystem.

Bailey attributes the scale of the business to people and culture. “Our team is everything, when our team members succeed, our stores succeed, and our communities succeed,” he said.

The organisation is built around three core principles: growth, operational excellence and community impact and has also contributed significantly to social initiatives. In the past year alone, Team Bailey donated nearly $250,000 to the Domino’s Partners Foundation, alongside supporting schools, food banks and local programmes across its operating regions.

Bailey’s rise underscores the franchise-led growth engine that has powered Domino’s global expansion. From a single delivery role to leading the largest franchise network in the U.S., his trajectory highlights the scalability of the model and the long-term value creation possible within structured franchise systems.

“Success in business is rarely about one individual, it is about people coming together with a shared purpose,” Bailey said.
