Tsuklio Launches in Singapore, Eyes Franchise Growth Across Asia

Date:

Japan-based meal subscription platform Antway Inc. has officially launched its fast-growing home-style meal prep brand Tsuklio in Singapore, marking the company’s first overseas expansion and the beginning of its wider Asia growth and franchise strategy.

The Singapore debut is significant not only as a market entry, but also because the company is actively evaluating franchise and partnership opportunities across Southeast Asia, particularly with operators that already possess central kitchen infrastructure.

According to the official announcement, more than 3,000 consumers registered interest ahead of the Singapore launch, underlining strong early demand for premium, nutrition-focused ready meal subscriptions in the city-state.

Founded in 2018, Antway operates Tsuklio through a central-kitchen model where meals are freshly prepared daily under the supervision of registered dietitians and delivered chilled rather than frozen. The company says the service has already delivered over 30 million meals across 46 prefectures in Japan.

As part of the Singapore rollout, Tsuklio is introducing a household-focused subscription plan featuring three meals per week with four servings per meal, priced at SGD 211 weekly. The company said the offering is designed for busy dual-income families and working professionals seeking healthier and more convenient meal solutions.

The expansion also places franchising at the centre of Tsuklio’s regional ambitions. The company revealed that its franchise model in Japan has already been adopted by businesses beyond traditional foodservice operators, including car dealerships and shipbuilding companies, demonstrating the scalability and flexibility of its operating system.

“Launching in Singapore marks an important milestone for Antway and Tsuklio as we build a scalable business platform for Southeast Asia and advance our international expansion plans,” said Kei Maejima, Chief Executive Officer of Antway Inc.

Maejima further added, “We also welcome collaboration opportunities with local partners to further strengthen our regional operating model.”

The company stated that each franchise launch includes structured operational training lasting more than a month, ensuring partners can maintain Japanese quality-control standards and operational consistency across markets.

Singapore was selected following extensive market validation, including quantitative research, consumer interviews, and a four-week pilot conducted in March 2025 with a local F&B partner. Antway said the trial showed strong retention and weekly order rates despite the premium pricing, reinforcing confidence in Singapore as both a consumer market and a strategic launchpad for regional expansion.

The launch comes amid rising momentum in Asia’s food-tech and subscription dining sector, with urban consumers increasingly prioritising convenience, nutrition and predictable meal planning. Singapore has also emerged as a preferred gateway market for international F&B and franchise brands entering Southeast Asia.
