Krispy Kreme has strengthened its executive leadership team with the creation of a new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) position, appointing Suk Nicholas, a 15-year company veteran, to lead the doughnut chain’s fresh delivery business across the United States and international markets.
The appointment, effective August 3, comes as the company continues executing its strategy to deliver sustainable, profitable growth by expanding high-margin sales channels and strengthening commercial partnerships.
In her newly created role, Nicholas will join Krispy Kreme’s Global Leadership Team and oversee the company’s rapidly growing Fresh Delivered Daily business. She will be responsible for developing and executing enterprise sales strategies, expanding retail and strategic partnerships, identifying new revenue opportunities, strengthening customer relationships and building commercial capabilities across global markets.
Nicholas joined Krispy Kreme’s UK & Ireland business in 2010 before moving to the company’s global team in 2023. During her tenure, she has held a range of leadership positions across sales, commercial strategy and consumer packaged goods, playing a key role in expanding the company’s fresh delivery network. Before joining Krispy Kreme, she held leadership roles at L’Oréal and Barclays.
“Suk has played a pivotal role in building and scaling Krispy Kreme’s fresh delivery business and expanding our commercial capabilities,” said Josh Charlesworth, Chief Executive Officer of Krispy Kreme. “She is a growth-oriented leader with deep commercial expertise and a proven track record of delivering results.”
Alongside Nicholas’ promotion, Krispy Kreme also elevated Lori Suess to Chief People Officer. Suess, who joined the company in 2020 and was named Head of People & Culture earlier this year, will oversee the company’s global people, culture, talent development and employee engagement functions.
Commenting on the leadership changes, Charlesworth added: “These promotions reflect our commitment to developing talent from within and strengthening the leadership team as we continue executing our strategy to drive sustainable, profitable growth.”
The appointments come as Krispy Kreme continues reshaping its business following a strategic turnaround launched in 2025. The company has focused on reducing debt, improving profitability and adopting a more asset-light operating model through refranchising and expanding its fresh delivery network. Earlier this year, Krispy Kreme completed a $90 million transaction with franchise partner WKS Restaurant Group, which acquired 23 company-owned shops in the western U.S. and committed to opening additional locations.
Founded in 1937 and headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Krispy Kreme operates in more than 40 countries through a network of fresh doughnut shops, retail partnerships and digital channels. The company continues to expand its Fresh Delivered Daily model, supplying doughnuts to supermarkets, convenience stores and other retail outlets while growing its franchise presence across international markets.
