Miami-founded boutique fitness franchise SWEAT440 now has more than 40 open and coming-soon studios across 11 U.S. states as it pilots a new community-giving initiative in its home market.
SWEAT440 is launching SWEAT GIVES, a new charitable initiative designed to give its growing studio network and members a way to support organizations in their local communities.
The first SWEAT GIVES campaign will take place from October 3–10 at SWEAT440’s Brickell and Miami Beach studios in partnership with Make-A-Wish Southern Florida. The initiative will combine special fitness classes and class-pack purchases with fundraising for the nonprofit.
Special SWEAT GIVES classes will be priced at $40, with 100% of the class fee donated to Make-A-Wish Southern Florida. Designated 10- and 20-class packs will also support the campaign, with 50% of each purchase donated.
The Miami pilot is intended to help SWEAT440 develop a model that could eventually be introduced across its studios nationwide. The company plans to use the experience to create opportunities for franchise owners to partner with organizations in their own communities and raise funds locally.
“SWEAT440 has always been about more than what happens during the 40 minutes you’re in the studio,” said Matt Miller, Co-Founder of SWEAT440. “Our studios become communities, and we wanted to find a way to use that to give back. We’re excited to launch SWEAT GIVES in Miami with Make-A-Wish Southern Florida and see how much we can raise together.”
The week-long campaign will conclude with a SWEAT GIVES finale event on October 10, bringing together the SWEAT440 and Make-A-Wish Southern Florida communities.
“We’re so grateful to SWEAT440 for choosing Make-A-Wish Southern Florida as the partner for the first SWEAT GIVES in Miami,” said Norm Wedderburn, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Southern Florida. “It’s a fun way to bring people together while supporting our mission, and every person who participates is helping us continue to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.”
Founded in Miami Beach in 2018 by Matt Miller and Cody Patrick, SWEAT440 operates a boutique fitness model centered on a 40-minute workout combining strength, cardio and functional training across four 10-minute stations. A new class starts every 10 minutes, allowing members to arrive when it fits their schedule.
The franchise currently has more than 40 open and coming-soon studios across 11 states and is continuing to expand through franchise development.
SWEAT GIVES adds a community-focused initiative to the franchise’s expansion strategy. Following the Miami pilot, SWEAT440 plans to evaluate the program and develop it for other studios across the country, giving franchisees a potential framework for working with local charitable organizations.
Make-A-Wish Southern Florida has granted more than 15,000 local wishes over more than 43 years. During its 2026 fiscal year, the organization granted 554 wishes and serves children and families across 22 counties in Florida as well as the U.S. Virgin Islands.
