Club Pilates is significantly expanding its U.S. footprint after signing one of its largest multi-unit franchise development agreements with entrepreneur and existing franchise operator Saber Ammori, reinforcing the brand’s strategy of scaling through experienced multi-unit developers.
Under the agreement, Ammori will develop 70 additional Club Pilates studios across Michigan, Maryland and New York, adding to the 14 studios he already owns and operates in the New York City market, along with locations already in development. Once completed, the agreement will give the newly formed operating company, Renew Fitness, the potential to oversee 84 Club Pilates studios, making it one of the largest franchise groups within the Club Pilates system.
Renew Fitness has been established by Ammori in partnership with Cohere Capital to acquire, operate and develop both existing and future Club Pilates locations. As part of the agreement, the group has secured the remaining available Club Pilates territories across the three target states, strengthening the brand’s presence in key regional markets.
“Even after twenty-plus years, Club Pilates continues to push the boundaries of boutique fitness franchising,” said Mike Nuzzo, CEO of Xponential Fitness. “This deal with Renew Fitness is a testament to the brand’s strength, economics, and staying power. We are thrilled to see large multi-unit owners and area developers reinvesting in the brand and making our incredible offerings accessible to more communities around the world.”
Ammori said the latest investment reflects his long-term confidence in the Pilates category and the Club Pilates business model. “The goal has always been to keep growing with Club Pilates, my team and I are extremely passionate about this empowering, inclusive brand. There is still so much whitespace for Pilates in the U.S., and the formation of Renew Fitness will help us unlock that next phase of growth.”
Beyond Club Pilates, Ammori serves as Managing Member, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Wireless Vision, one of the largest T-Mobile authorized retailers in the United States, operating more than 450 T-Mobile stores nationwide. He also maintains investments across consumer services, car washes, commercial real estate and other operating businesses, bringing extensive multi-unit operating experience to the fitness franchise sector.
The agreement follows a series of large-scale franchise transactions by Club Pilates as the brand continues to attract institutional investors and sophisticated multi-unit operators. Recent expansion activity has included major development agreements with Riser Fitness, Spartan Fitness, and Aligned Fitness, whose ownership groups collectively operate more than 350 Club Pilates studios. Earlier this year, parent company Xponential Fitness also announced its largest-ever development agreement, awarding Riser Fitness rights to develop 127 additional Club Pilates studios across six U.S. states.
Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Irvine, California, Club Pilates has grown into the world’s largest Pilates brand by number of studios, operating more than 1,300 studios globally. The brand, part of Xponential Fitness, has consistently ranked in Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 and Fastest-Growing Franchises lists, has appeared multiple times on the Inc. 5000, and has been recognized by Forbes for customer service excellence.
The latest development agreement underscores continued investor confidence in boutique fitness franchising, with Club Pilates increasingly relying on experienced multi-unit operators to accelerate growth while expanding access to Pilates in underserved U.S. markets.
