South Korean coffee franchise TheVenti has expanded into the Philippines, signing a master franchise agreement with local food and beverage company JJR Brothers Food Corp. as it continues to accelerate its international growth strategy across Southeast Asia. The first TheVenti café in the Philippines is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2026, marking the brand’s latest overseas milestone and reinforcing its ambitions to become a global coffee franchise.
The Philippines becomes TheVenti’s fifth international market, following its expansion into Vietnam, Canada and Jordan, while the company is also preparing to launch its first U.S. outlet in Las Vegas later this year. The move reflects the growing trend of South Korean foodservice brands leveraging master franchise partnerships to enter high-growth international markets.
Founded in 2014, TheVenti has emerged as one of South Korea’s largest coffee franchise chains, operating more than 1,600 stores nationwide. The brand has differentiated itself through its value-driven positioning, offering premium-quality coffee and beverages in oversized 20-ounce cups at affordable prices. Its menu includes espresso-based drinks, signature grain lattes, teas, smoothies and seasonal beverages designed to appeal to a broad consumer base.
Under the agreement, JJR Brothers Food Corp. will oversee the development and operation of TheVenti in the Philippines as the brand’s master franchisee. The Philippine company has experience in food and beverage distribution and restaurant operations and is expected to lead store development while adapting the concept to local consumer preferences.
According to the company, the Philippines was selected as a strategic entry point into Southeast Asia because of its young population, rapidly expanding café culture and increasing demand for international coffee brands. TheVenti said it intends to localize its menu and operations while maintaining the brand identity that has driven its success in South Korea.
Commenting on the expansion, a company official said:“Entering the Philippines is the starting point for expanding into the Southeast Asian market. We will provide local consumers with TheVenti’s differentiated coffee and beverage experience and gradually enhance our global brand competitiveness.”
The Philippine agreement represents another step in TheVenti’s broader international franchise strategy. Alongside its established operations in Vietnam, Canada and Jordan, the company is actively building a presence in North America through its planned Las Vegas opening. The latest deal also underscores the growing global appeal of Korean café brands, which are increasingly expanding beyond their domestic market through master franchise partnerships.
South Korea’s branded coffee market is among the most competitive in the world, prompting leading chains to seek new avenues for growth overseas. Markets across Southeast Asia have become a particular focus due to rising disposable incomes, urbanisation and strong demand for modern café experiences. For franchisors, master franchise agreements continue to offer an efficient route to international expansion by combining established brand systems with local market expertise.
With more than 1,600 domestic outlets and a steadily expanding international pipeline, TheVenti’s entry into the Philippines represents another significant milestone in its global franchise journey and further strengthens the presence of South Korean coffee brands in the rapidly growing Southeast Asian café market.
