Global quick service chain Subway has entered into a new master franchise partnership in Taiwan, appointing Yellowstone Investment Corp. Ltd. to lead its expansion across the market.
Under the deal, Yellowstone will take over full development and operational responsibility for Subway’s network in Taiwan, with a mandate to expand the brand’s footprint and strengthen store performance across key locations.
The move is part of Subway’s wider international strategy to consolidate operations under experienced regional partners and scale more efficiently through master franchise structures.
Joseph Hsu, President of Subway Asia Pacific, said in the company’s official press statement: “We are pleased to partner with Yellowstone to continue growing the Subway brand in Taiwan. Their strong operational expertise and understanding of the local market make them well positioned to drive long-term, sustainable growth.”
Taiwan remains a steady market for Subway, with demand anchored in the brand’s made-to-order positioning and value-led menu. The new partnership is expected to focus on network optimisation, new store openings and improved customer experience.
Yellowstone Investment Corp., led by CEO John Huang, brings experience in real estate and food and beverage operations across Asia Pacific. Huang said in the release, “We see significant opportunity to expand Subway’s presence in Taiwan by combining the brand’s global strength with our local market knowledge and disciplined approach to development.”
The agreement reflects Subway’s ongoing shift towards fewer, larger franchise partners globally, as the company looks to streamline operations and accelerate expansion across Asia Pacific and other international markets.
