Buffalo Wild Wings GO has strengthened its presence in Illinois with the opening of a new outlet in Lake Zurich, reflecting the brand’s continued focus on off-premise growth and compact store formats.
The restaurant, located at 840 W. Route 22, opened in early April and is operated by franchisee Nilesh Patel, who has been steadily expanding within the state. With this launch, Patel’s portfolio has grown to seven Buffalo Wild Wings GO units across Illinois, including locations in Elgin, St. Charles, Huntley, Woodstock, Palatine and Aurora.
Designed for takeout and delivery, the GO format differs from traditional sports bar restaurants by eliminating dine-in seating and prioritizing speed and convenience. Units typically span between 900 and 1,600 square feet and are equipped with digital ordering systems, order-ahead functionality and dedicated pickup areas.
The Lake Zurich outlet offers a streamlined menu centred on the brand’s core items, including traditional and boneless wings, chicken tenders, sandwiches, wraps and sides, along with its signature sauces and dry rubs.
The expansion aligns with the broader strategy of parent company Inspire Brands, which continues to invest in digital and off-premise channels across its portfolio.
Buffalo Wild Wings, founded in 1982, operates more than 1,300 locations worldwide and has increasingly leaned on its GO format to complement its full-service restaurants and capture rising demand for convenience-led dining.
