Central Food Retail, a key subsidiary of Central Retail Corporation, has partnered with South Korean retail giant Emart to introduce its value-focused private label concept No Brand in Thailand, marking the brand’s official entry into the market.
The first standalone No Brand store is set to open on March 31 at Central Bangna in Bangkok. The outlet will feature more than 2,200 products across Korean snacks, pantry staples, and everyday household essentials, positioning itself as a one-stop destination for affordable lifestyle goods.
Speaking on the launch, Thanawat Jirajariyavej, Managing Director of Central Food Retail, said: “We see strong potential for No Brand in Thailand as consumers increasingly look for products that combine quality with affordability. This partnership allows us to bring a unique retail concept that simplifies choices while delivering real value.”
An Emart spokesperson added: “No Brand was created to focus on what truly matters to customers, good quality products at reasonable prices. Expanding into Thailand is an important step in growing our presence in Southeast Asia.”
Originally launched in South Korea, No Brand has grown into a major retail format with over 270 stores, supported by a strong private label portfolio and minimalist packaging approach. The brand has also expanded into international markets such as the Philippines and Laos, while exporting products to more than 20 countries.
The Thailand launch comes as value-driven retail gains traction, with consumers prioritising affordability without compromising on quality. For Central Food Retail, the move aligns with its broader strategy to diversify its portfolio and strengthen its position in the country’s competitive grocery and specialty retail sector.
It also builds on the group’s ongoing efforts to bring global retail concepts to Thai consumers, reinforcing Thailand’s role as a key consumption hub in Southeast Asia. Backed by continued investment, Central Retail is accelerating expansion and innovation across its food business to capture evolving consumer demand.
