Dublin’s Carved Launches Franchise Expansion Across Ireland and the UK

Date:

Fast-growing Irish sandwich brand Carved has entered the franchising market, opening opportunities for entrepreneurs across Ireland and the UK as the chef-led premium sandwich concept looks to accelerate its expansion beyond Dublin.

The announcement was made by Charlie Mander, Co-Founder and Group COO of Presman & Colard International Advisory, the franchise consultancy appointed to develop and recruit franchise partners for the brand. Announcing the launch, Charlie Mander said: “We’re delighted to officially launch the Carved franchise opportunity across Ireland and the UK, creating an exciting opportunity for ambitious franchise partners to bring the concept to new towns and cities.”

The launch follows Carved’s rapid growth in Dublin, where the company has established three outlets and built a loyal customer base around its “Sandwiches by Chefs” proposition.

Founded in Dublin, Carved differentiates itself in the increasingly competitive premium sandwich market by offering chef-prepared sandwiches made from scratch using locally sourced ingredients, slow-roasted meats, artisan breads and house-made sauces. The concept has gained popularity among office workers and city-centre consumers seeking premium grab-and-go meals, with long lunchtime queues becoming a common sight at its locations.

The brand currently operates three Dublin stores in Grand Canal Dock, Ballsbridge and Charlemont Square, with the third outlet opening recently as part of its continued expansion within the Irish capital. Alongside its retail business, Carved also operates a growing catering division serving corporate and private events.

According to the newly launched franchise prospectus, Carved is seeking multi-unit and single-unit franchise partners to develop the concept across Ireland before expanding into key UK cities. Franchisees will receive support covering site selection, store design, operational training, supplier relationships, launch preparation and ongoing business support.

The franchise model has been designed for high-footfall urban locations, including city centres, shopping districts, transport hubs and business districts, where demand for premium fast-casual food continues to rise. The company says its focused menu and standardized operating systems are intended to support scalability while maintaining product consistency across locations.

Carved’s franchise disclosure outlines a minimum investment of €120,000, including store fit-out, with a €20,000 franchise fee, 6% royalty, 1% marketing contribution, and an indicative 18-month return on investment, although actual performance will vary by location and operator.

The expansion comes as Europe’s quick-service restaurant (QSR) market continues to evolve toward premium fast-casual concepts that emphasize quality ingredients, fresh preparation and convenience. Consumer demand for premium lunch offerings has created opportunities for specialist sandwich brands, a segment that has attracted increasing franchise interest across the UK and Ireland in recent years.

Carved has also built a strong digital presence, attracting more than 15,000 Instagram followers, helping strengthen brand recognition ahead of its franchise rollout.  With its Dublin operations now established and a structured franchise model in place, Carved is positioning itself to become one of Ireland’s emerging foodservice franchise brands, targeting expansion through qualified franchise operators across both domestic and UK markets.
