Japanese beef cutlet specialist Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu has strengthened its presence in Singapore with the opening of its third restaurant, located at Parkway Parade, marking another milestone in the brand’s international expansion strategy. The new outlet follows the success of its existing Singapore locations at Raffles City and One Holland Village, reinforcing the chain’s growing foothold in Southeast Asia.
To celebrate the launch, the company is offering complimentary children’s meals for diners aged under 10. The promotion runs Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with one free selected kids’ meal available for every purchase of two Zen set meals.
The new restaurant showcases the brand’s signature gyukatsu, breaded, panko-coated beef cutlets that are flash-fried to leave the interior tender and medium rare before guests finish cooking the meat to their preferred doneness on individual tabletop konro grills.
Its menu features a variety of premium beef cuts, including sirloin, tenderloin, chuck flap, beef tongue, and A5 Miyazaki sirloin. Signature set meals begin at S$25++ for the Sirloin Gyukatsu Zen, served with rice, cabbage, Kyoto-style curry, aka miso soup, onsen egg, spicy chilli miso, and accompanying condiments. Customers can also choose combination “Half-and-Half” sets pairing sirloin with other premium cuts, alongside non-beef options such as Seafood Katsu Zen and Yasai Tempura Zen.
Founded in Kyoto, Japan, in 2014, Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu has grown into one of the world’s largest specialists gyukatsu restaurant brands, operating more than 70 locations internationally. The Singapore expansion underscores the company’s continued focus on overseas markets, where demand for authentic Japanese dining concepts remains strong.
The latest opening comes just two years after the brand entered Singapore, reflecting steady growth in the city-state and positioning the market as an important part of its regional expansion strategy.
While no executive quotes accompanied the opening announcement, the company has positioned the family-focused promotion as part of its efforts to attract more diners and build awareness around its newest Singapore location.
