McDonald’s Singapore brought the community together during Ramadan with a special Buka Puasa gathering, welcoming nearly 200 guests, including families from the ComLink+ programme and residents from Marsiling. The event aimed to strengthen relationships across generations and foster a sense of belonging among neighbours.
Organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), Families for Life (FFL), the People’s Association (PA), and the Health Promotion Board (HPB), the evening provided families with the opportunity to connect, share meals, and create lasting memories.
The gathering featured a specially curated menu, including McCrispy Burgers, Filet‑o‑Fish Burgers, Chicken McNugget’ s, and festive Sharing Boxes, offering a communal dining experience in the spirit of Ramadan. Children and adults also engaged in activities such as quizzes and reflection exercises, promoting the values of compassion, giving, and togetherness.
A central highlight of the evening was McDonald’s “Light a Lamp, Share a Table”initiative, launched nationwide earlier this year. Small lamps on tables at participating outlets signal to diners that they are welcome to share a seat, encouraging community sharing and connection during busy iftar periods.
The event underscores McDonald’s Singapore’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and social cohesion, complementing the company’s broader initiatives to promote inclusion and neighbourly support across the city.
