Urban Air Adventure Park franchisee Shekar Laveti has signed a franchise agreement to acquire an existing Urban Air location in Gilbert, Arizona, expanding his portfolio to four parks within the indoor family entertainment brand’s system.
Laveti currently owns and operates Urban Air parks in Lakeland, Florida, and Newnan, Georgia, while another location is under development in Mesa, Arizona. The latest acquisition reflects a growing trend of multi-unit expansion within the Urban Air system, where experienced operators are increasingly scaling through acquisitions and additional territory development.
According to the company, 36% of Urban Air franchisees now own more than one location, while 15% operate three or more parks.
“I am excited to add Gilbert to my Urban Air portfolio and reintroduce this amazing experience to more families,” said Shekar Laveti, franchise owner of multiple Urban Air locations. “As an operator, I look for brands that are evolving, investing in innovation, and creating reasons for families to return. Urban Air checks all those boxes, which is why I’m continuing to grow my portfolio with the brand.”
Laveti, a former Wall Street executive, also operates franchises under The Goddard School system. He first entered the Urban Air network in 2024 after discovering the brand as a customer and has since expanded across multiple markets with plans to continue growing his footprint into the double digits.

Headquartered in Bedford, Texas, Urban Air Adventure Park operates more than 400 parks open or in development globally, according to company information. The brand, founded in 2011 and franchising since 2013, offers attractions including ropes courses, trampolines, indoor ziplines, laser tag, obstacle courses and go-karts.
The company has continued expanding across major U.S. markets in 2026, including recent franchise development activity in Philadelphia and other metropolitan areas.
