U.S. chicken chain Zaxbys has appointed industry veteran Michael Dixon as its new Chief Financial Officer, bringing in a seasoned finance leader as the brand accelerates its national expansion.
Dixon joins from GoTo Foods, where he served as CFO and helped nearly double the size of the company’s portfolio, which includes brands such as Cinnabon, Auntie Anne’s and Jamba.
The appointment is effective immediately, with Dixon reporting to CEO Bernard Acoca and joining the executive leadership team to guide the company through its next phase of growth.
“Mike’s demonstrated success in accelerating and scaling financial performance makes him a perfect fit for Zaxbys’ next chapter,” Acoca said, pointing to the brand’s ongoing national expansion plans.
Dixon brings more than three decades of experience across restaurant, retail and entertainment sectors. His previous roles include leadership stints at Ignite Restaurant Group, Pinkberry and The Cheesecake Factory, along with earlier experience at The Walt Disney Company.
At Zaxbys, he will oversee financial strategy, planning and analytics, accounting and treasury functions as the company builds on its growth momentum. The chain crossed 1,000 locations in 2025 and is expanding both through traditional franchising and non-traditional formats, including high-traffic and military base locations.
“I’m honoured to join Zaxby. I look forward to partnering with the team to accelerate expansion and strengthen performance,” Dixon said.
The move comes as Zaxbys sharpens its national scale ambitions, leaning on experienced leadership to drive unit economics and franchise-led growth across new markets.
