Mike’s Red Tacos has signed a major 50-unit franchise agreement with seasoned operators, marking a significant step in its national growth strategy and entry into the New England market.
The deal, led by veteran restaurateurs Bob Quinlan and Al Graziano, will bring the fast-growing birria-focused concept to Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The first locations are expected to open later this year, with a phased rollout planned over the coming years.
Quinlan and Graziano bring more than 50 years of combined experience in the fast-casual restaurant sector, positioning them to scale the brand in a region where it currently has no presence. “Tacos are more popular now than ever, and Mike’s Red Tacos brings much-needed excitement to the Mexican fast-casual industry,” said Quinlan. “The team and I are proud to lead the brand’s entrance into Massachusetts and New Hampshire and introduce our unbeatable hospitality and signature, bold flavours to each community.”
The San Diego-born concept, known for its birria tacos and signature consommé dipping experience, has built a strong following through a focused menu and social media-driven popularity, particularly among younger consumers.
