Blo Blow Dry Bar Strengthens U.S. Expansion with Fourth Arizona Franchise

Date:

Blo Blow Dry Bar, North America’s original blow dry bar franchise, is continuing its aggressive North American expansion with the signing of a new franchise agreement in Phoenix, Arizona, reinforcing the brand’s strong franchise development momentum and growing presence in one of the country’s fastest-growing franchise markets.

The latest agreement will see local entrepreneur Tia Wilson develop Blo Blow Dry Bar’s fourth location in Arizona, further strengthening the brand’s position in the state as demand for premium beauty services continues to rise.

Wilson brings more than two decades of beauty industry experience to the business. A licensed cosmetologist since high school, she has built a career spanning both beauty and education, earning master’s degrees in school counselling and education and human relations while remaining active in the salon industry. She is currently in the site selection phase and plans to create a beauty destination that reflects Phoenix’s diverse community while attracting both skilled stylists and a broad customer base.

The expansion comes as Blo Blow Dry Bar continues to capitalize on a record period of franchise development. The company closed 2025 by awarding 30 new franchise units, a 50% increase over the previous year, while opening 16 new locations across the U.S. and Canada. More than a quarter of those new franchise agreements were signed by existing franchisees, highlighting strong confidence in the brand’s operating model and support systems.

Founded in Canada in 2007, Blo pioneered the “no cuts, no colour-just blowouts” concept and has since evolved into the world’s largest blow dry bar franchise. The brand now operates more than 170 locations across the U.S. and Canada, offering blowouts, makeup services, memberships and a curated retail product range.

“Tia has strong community ties, a true passion for the beauty industry, and a commitment to creating an exceptional guest experience,” said Vanessa Yakobson, CEO of Blo Blow Dry Bar. “As we continue to grow across North America, partnerships with entrepreneurs like Tia reinforce the incredible momentum we’re seeing across the system.”

Tia Wilson said the opportunity aligns both her professional background and entrepreneurial ambitions. “Whether I was behind the chair or working with students, my work has always been about helping people feel more confident in themselves,” she said. “The moment I walked into Blo Blow Dry Bar, I knew this was an opportunity to combine my passions with my entrepreneurial ambitions. Getting to build that here, in the city I’ve called home my whole life, makes it that much more meaningful.”

Arizona’s robust population growth and expanding franchise sector made the state a strategic choice for Blo’s latest investment, as the company continues targeting high-growth metropolitan markets across North America.

The company is actively seeking both single-unit and multi-unit franchise operators, with continued expansion planned across key U.S. and Canadian markets as consumer demand for convenient, premium beauty services continues to grow.
