Moe’s Casa Mexicana Opens Standalone Outlet in South Delhi, Eyes 100 Stores in India

Date:

Moe’s Casa Mexicana has strengthened its presence in the Indian market with the opening of a new standalone outlet at Anupam Market, Saket, near PVR in South Delhi. The outlet, which opened on September 13, marks the Mexican fast-casual brand’s third location in India as it accelerates its franchise-led expansion with master franchise partner Unify Foodworks.

The Saket restaurant offers Moe’s Mexican-inspired menu across tacos, burritos, bowls and nachos, alongside new additions including the Crunchy Taco, Double Decker Taco, Fajita Rice Bowl and Protein Bowl. The format caters to dine-in, takeaway and delivery customers, with the brand focusing on customizable meals and flavours adapted to Indian preferences.

Moe’s Casa Mexicana entered India through a 45-unit development agreement signed in 2025 between GoTo Foods and Unify Foodworks. The deal made India the first international market for the Moe’s Casa Mexicana concept and forms the foundation of the brand’s broader development strategy in the country.

Unify Foodworks, founded by Sumer Sethi, has since expanded the concept beyond its initial flagship in Gurugram. The company opened its first Moe’s Casa Mexicana outlet at Elan Miracle in Gurugram in December 2025, followed by a location in Vasant Kunj and now the Saket outlet.

On the new outlet opening, Sumer Sethi, Founder of Unify Foodworks said: “Saket is a great fit for Moe’s because it brings together a young, social and food-curious audience. We want every new outlet to feel like a place people are excited to visit, while making sure the food, service and overall experience remain consistent.”

The company is targeting more than 100 Moe’s Casa Mexicana stores across India, significantly exceeding the 45-unit development commitment originally agreed with GoTo Foods. The expansion is expected to cover multiple markets as the brand builds its presence beyond the Delhi-NCR region.

Moe’s Casa Mexicana is the international format of Moe’s Southwest Grill, the fast-casual Mexican restaurant brand founded in Atlanta in 2000 and owned by GoTo Foods. The wider Moe’s network has hundreds of restaurants, primarily across the United States, and its international strategy is built around partnerships with franchise operators in selected markets.

For India, the concept has been localized with vegetarian options, adjustable spice levels and menu choices designed to appeal to Indian consumers while retaining the brand’s Mexican positioning. Its franchise model also allows the operator to develop outlets in different formats and locations depending on the market. With the Saket opening, Unify Foodworks is expanding Moe’s Casa Mexicana through a combination of standalone locations and a broader multi-unit development strategy. The company’s India portfolio also includes Carvel, another GoTo Foods brand, giving it experience in operating and developing international franchise concepts in the Indian foodservice market
