Omoda and Jaecoo Build 146-Strong UK Dealer Network in Under Two Years

Date:

Chinese automotive brands Omoda and Jaecoo, part of Chery Automobile, have expanded their UK retail footprint to 146 dealer locations in less than two years since entering the market, marking one of the fastest dealer network rollouts in the country’s automotive sector. The milestone underscores the brands’ aggressive market-entry strategy as they continue to expand sales, aftersales and customer support across the UK.

The brands entered the UK in 2024, initially launching the Omoda 5 and all-electric Omoda E5, before adding the Jaecoo 7 SUV and subsequently expanding the model lineup with new petrol, hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Their retail network now spans 146 dealer points, providing nationwide coverage for vehicle sales, servicing and customer care.

The rapid expansion reflects Omoda and Jaecoo’s franchise-led retail strategy, with the brands partnering with established automotive dealer groups rather than building company-owned outlets. The approach has enabled the brands to establish a national presence quickly while supporting customers with localized sales and aftersales services.

According to the company, the dealer network forms a key part of its long-term growth strategy as it introduces additional models across internal combustion, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and battery-electric segments. The UK portfolio now includes the Omoda 5 Petrol, Omoda E5, Jaecoo 7, Omoda 7, and the flagship Omoda 9 SHS-P plug-in hybrid, with further launches planned.

“We have built a nationwide retail network at exceptional speed, ensuring customers across the UK have access to sales and aftersales support as our model range continues to grow,” the company said in its latest update, highlighting the importance of dealer partners in establishing the brands’ presence.

Omoda and Jaecoo operate as export-focused brands under Chery Automobile, targeting international markets outside China. Launched globally in 2023, the two marques have rapidly expanded across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific and Latin America as Chery accelerates its global ambitions. The company has previously outlined a long-term objective of achieving 1.4 million annual global sales for the combined Omoda and Jaecoo brands by 2030, excluding the Chinese market.

The UK has become one of the brands’ priority European markets, with continued investment in retail infrastructure, new vehicle introductions and dealer partnerships expected to support future growth.
