Yo-Chi Scoops Up UK Expansion with First European Flagship in London

Date:

Australian frozen yogurt brand Yo-Chi has announced its expansion into the United Kingdom with the launch of its first European flagship store in London’s Notting Hill, marking a major milestone in the company’s international growth strategy. The opening, scheduled for this summer, will make the UK the brand’s third operating market after Australia and Singapore, as Yo-Chi continues to build its presence beyond its home market.

The new flagship will be located on Notting Hill Gate and will span more than 2,000 square feet across two floors, with seating for over 120 guests. Designed as an immersive lifestyle destination rather than a traditional dessert outlet, the store will feature double-height ceilings, bespoke mural artwork, warm natural interiors, communal seating areas, an in-store DJ booth for events, and the brand’s signature strawberry disco ball, a design element that has become synonymous with the Yo-Chi experience in Australia.

The London launch follows the success of Yo-Chi’s first international outlet at Orchard Central in Singapore, which opened in 2025. According to the company, the positive response in Singapore reinforced confidence in the brand’s international appeal and paved the way for its European expansion. London was selected because of its vibrant food culture, diverse consumer base, and strong demand for premium experiential dining concepts.

Founded in Melbourne, Yo-Chi has rapidly grown into one of Australia’s leading frozen yogurt brands by combining premium self-serve frozen yogurt with an experience-led retail model. Customers create their own desserts by choosing from a range of frozen yogurt flavours before adding toppings from an extensive self-service bar, offering a personalised experience that has resonated strongly with younger consumers.

The company said the UK expansion has also been driven by sustained interest from British consumers, with social media campaigns and customer requests encouraging the brand to enter the market. The Notting Hill flagship has been designed to reflect the same community-focused atmosphere that has helped Yo-Chi build a loyal customer following across Australia.

Since its launch, Yo-Chi has expanded across major Australian cities, including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Canberra, becoming one of the country’s fastest-growing dessert chains. The brand has differentiated itself through premium ingredients, vibrant store design and a strong digital presence, positioning itself as more than just a frozen yogurt retailer.

The UK debut comes at a time when London continues to attract international food and beverage brands seeking to tap into one of Europe’s most dynamic hospitality markets. Industry observers believe experience-led dessert concepts are gaining momentum as consumers increasingly seek interactive and customisable dining experiences.

While Yo-Chi has not yet announced additional UK locations, the flagship store is expected to serve as a foundation for wider expansion across Britain and Europe. The company has indicated that international growth will remain a key strategic priority as it builds on the success of its Australian operations and its overseas ventures.

For the franchise sector, Yo-Chi’s UK entry highlights the growing global appeal of Australian foodservice brands and demonstrates how scalable, experience-driven concepts can successfully cross international markets. Although the company has not disclosed specific franchise plans for the UK, its continued expansion reflects the strength of its business model and the increasing international demand for premium dessert experiences.
