Coolabi Rebrands as Four Trees Media in Global Growth Push

Date:

The UK-based entertainment group is unifying its publishing, gaming, television and licensing operations as it looks to turn established children’s properties into international, multi-platform franchises.

UK-based Coolabi Group has rebranded as Four Trees Media, bringing its publishing, television, gaming and consumer products activities under a single identity as it expands its strategy of building global entertainment franchises.

The rebrand also brings its literary development division, Working Partners, under the Four Trees Media name. The company develops and manages intellectual property for children’s and family audiences, extending stories and characters across books, screen entertainment, digital platforms, gaming and licensed merchandise.

Warrior Cats is central to the company’s growth strategy. The book series has sold more than 90 million copies, while its gaming presence includes Warrior Cats: Ultimate Edition on Roblox, which has recorded more than 780 million plays. The property is also being developed into an animated series for Tencent Video platforms in China and Southeast Asia and Disney+ internationally. A separate role-playing game, Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest, is being developed with Trailmark Games.

Four Trees Media’s wider portfolio includes Beast Quest, Heartland, The Lady Grace Mysteries, Purple Ronnie and The Large Family. The company is pursuing opportunities to extend these properties across entertainment formats and consumer categories through development, licensing and commercial partnerships.

“Our business has always been about planting the seeds of incredible stories and growing them into global franchises,” said Will Harrison, Chief Executive of Four Trees Media. He added that the company would focus on innovative franchise development and expanding digital universes around its key brands.

The rebrand coincides with three senior appointments. Alex Moyet joins as Head of Franchise Strategy, Karen Troop as Head of Digital Production, and Rob Streeten as Finance Director. Their experience spans publishing, gaming, animation, television and entertainment finance.

Formerly known as Coolabi Group, the company operates in the intellectual property and entertainment sector, where franchise growth is driven by extending established brands across multiple platforms and markets rather than through conventional business-format franchising.
