Franchise Brands plc Appoints Neil Miller as CFO And Director

Date:

UK-based franchising major Franchise Brands plc has announced the appointment of Neil Miller as its new Chief Financial Officer and Director, effective 26 May 2026, as the company strengthens its leadership team amid continued international expansion and operational growth.

The company confirmed that Miller will join the board and oversee the group’s financial and strategic functions at a significant stage of growth for the business.

Franchise Brands is an international multi-brand franchisor focused primarily on B2B van-based service businesses. Headquartered in the United Kingdom, the company operates across the UK, Europe and North America with a network of more than 600 franchisees. Its business spans multiple service sectors including drainage, plumbing, hydraulic services, commercial kitchen maintenance, automotive repair and home services.

The company owns several well-known franchise brands including Pirtek, Metro Rod, Metro Plumb, Filta, ChipsAway, Ovenclean and Barking Mad. Through its franchise-led business model, independent operators run businesses under the company’s systems and branding in exchange for franchise fees and royalties.

Industry experts note that franchising has emerged as one of the world’s fastest-growing business expansion models because it enables companies to scale rapidly with relatively lower capital investment. In a franchise model, the franchisor licenses its brand name, operational systems and business know-how to franchisees, who then operate the business under established brand standards.

Neil Miller’s appointment comes at a time when Franchise Brands has been actively focusing on growth initiatives, acquisition integration and improving operational efficiencies across its portfolio. Earlier this year, the company stated that its adjusted EBITDA for 2026 is expected to remain in line with market expectations and also indicated plans for share buybacks.

The development also reflects the broader momentum within the global franchising industry, which continues to witness rising investor interest across sectors such as foodservice, retail, automotive services, wellness and home maintenance. Markets such as India are also seeing increasing franchise-led expansion from both domestic and international brands.
