Spanish premium frozen yoghurt brand MYKA has entered the UK market with the launch of its first British location in St. Christopher’s Place, London, marking another step in the company’s international franchise expansion.
The Madrid-based brand, founded by Natalia Morales and Javier Ezquerro, has built a rapidly growing international footprint since its launch. MYKA currently operates 49 stores worldwide and has signed more than 270 franchise agreements across 26countries, with additional openings planned in markets including Hong Kong and São Paulo.
The London outlet, scheduled to open in mid-July, will prepare MYKA’s signature Greek frozen yoghurt fresh on-site every day using authentic Greek yoghurt and goat’s milk kefir. The company says the recipe is naturally high in protein, contains probiotics and delivers the rich, creamy texture associated with traditional Greek yoghurt.
Customers will be able to choose from MYKA’s original Greek frozen yoghurt along with two rotating seasonal flavours, complemented by a selection of premium toppings such as handmade crumbles, fruit compotes, granola and baklava, allowing for a highly customizable dessert experience.
The company selected St. Christopher’s Place for its first UK location because of its mix of independent retailers, restaurants and strong pedestrian traffic, which aligns with MYKA’s neighbourhood-focused retail strategy.
“We chose London because of its exceptional food scene and St. Christopher’s Place for its unique mix of independent businesses, restaurants and its pedestrian-friendly atmosphere,” the company said in announcing the opening.
Founded in Madrid, MYKA has positioned itself as a premium Greek frozen yoghurt concept with a franchise-led growth model. In addition to expanding across Spain, the brand has established a presence in international markets including France, the United States and Mexico, with the UK launch further strengthening its European expansion strategy.
The London opening represents MYKA’s latest move to grow its global franchise network, as consumer demand for premium, healthier dessert concepts continues to rise across international markets.
