Yolk Brands Taps Al Maysarah Holding to Launch outlets in Iraq

Date:

UAE based hospitality powerhouse Yolk Brands is set to make its Iraqi debut with 15 new franchise restaurants, marking a major step in the company’s regional expansion strategy. The first outlets are scheduled to open at Iraq Mall in Baghdad in the second quarter of 2026.

The expansion is being carried out through a franchise style partnership with Al Maysarah Holding, the same group that operates Pickl and BonBird in Jordan. Under this agreement, Al Maysarah Holding will own, operate, and manage the new restaurants locally, leveraging its market knowledge to deliver Yolk Brands’ concepts to Iraqi consumers.

  • Pickl– Yolk Brands’ fast-casual concept known for ‘Fresh. Fast. Food.’, including signature burgers, chicken sandwiches, and loaded fries, will open five franchised outlets across Iraq.
  • BonBird– the group’s modern fried chicken brand, famous for its bone-in chicken, wraps, rice bowls, and bold ‘All Bird, No Bull’ identity, will debut with ten franchised outlets nationwide.

This approach mirrors Yolk Brands’ international expansion strategy, which relies on local partners to scale efficiently in new markets. The partnership ensures brand consistency while allowing local operators to adapt operations to regional tastes and logistics.

Strategic Move in Iraq’s Growing F&B Market

Iraq’s dining sector has been attracting global brands as urban consumers seek modern, casual dining experiences. With Baghdad Mall emerging as a key retail hub, the launch of Pickl and BonBird adds franchise backed international dining options to the city’s food scene.

Yolk Brands’ Growth Trajectory

Founded in the UAE, Yolk Brands has grown into one of the region’s fastest-expanding F&B groups, with popular concepts like Pickl, BonBird, and specialty coffee brand Southpour. By entering Iraq through a partnership, Yolk Brands aims to rapidly scale its presence while maintaining operational excellence via trusted local operators.

The first outlets are expected to open in mid 2026, marking a significant milestone for the brand as it taps into Iraq’s young, urban, and increasingly cosmopolitan consumer base.
