Brandman Retail has entered a strategic partnership with Chinese sportswear giant ANTA Group to introduce global sports brands Wilson Sporting Goods and ANTA to the Indian market, marking a significant push into the country’s rapidly growing premium sportswear segment.
Under the agreement, Brandman Retail will act as the premium distribution and retail partner for both brands in India, overseeing nationwide distribution as well as the rollout of dedicated brand stores.
The first mono-brand store is expected to open in April 2026, with additional outlets planned across major metropolitan markets over the next 12 to 18 months. These stores will showcase a full range of footwear, apparel, sports equipment and accessories from both brands.
The India launch will feature a curated product portfolio tailored for local consumers, combining global performance technologies with insights into the preferences of Indian athletes and sports enthusiasts.
Founded in 2021, Brandman Retail focuses on omnichannel retail, brand licensing and retail-led expansion of international brands in India. The company already works with several global labels including New Balance, Saucony, Rockport and On Running as part of its portfolio.
Meanwhile, Wilson is globally recognised for its leadership in racket sports equipment and tennis gear, while ANTA ranks among the world’s largest sportswear companies with a strong focus on performance-driven apparel and sports technology.
Commenting on the partnership, Arun Malhotra, Founder and Director of Brandman Retail, said the collaboration reflects the growing appetite for global sportswear in India.
“India’s premium sports and athleisure market is seeing strong momentum, driven by rising demand for global performance footwear, apparel and sports gear,” Malhotra said.
The partnership underscores the increasing focus of global sportswear brands on India, where rising fitness awareness, sports participation and demand for premium athletic gear are opening new growth opportunities for international labels.
