Shipley Do-Nuts, the Houston-based donut and kolache chain, has signed four multi-unit franchise development deals to significantly widen its U.S. footprint, including entry into Las Vegas, Nevada, marking the brand’s westernmost expansion.
Under the agreements, three new shops will open in Las Vegas. The company will also expand its Louisiana footprint with five additional locations in New Orleans. In Georgia, three new outlets are planned across the Atlanta suburbs of Alpharetta, Roswell and Sandy Springs. The brand is further strengthening its core Texas market with three additional locations across the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex.
CEO Flynn Dekker said the deals reflect a strategic push into high-growth regions while strengthening footholds in existing markets.
Shipley Do-nuts operates more than 385 company-owned and franchised restaurants across 13 U.S. states and offers over 40 varieties of freshly made donuts and kolaches.
This expansion effort comes amid rapid growth for the nearly 90-year-old brand. In 2025 alone the company opened a record 35 new shops, including its first locations in North Carolina and Virginia, and the pipeline could push total U.S. stores close to 400 nationwide.
Founded in Houston in 1936, Shipley Do-nuts has grown from a single shop into one of America’s largest handmade donut and kolache brands, known for its signature glazed donuts, fritters, bear claws and savoury kolaches.
